Looking for a Different Kind of Professional Development Experience?
The Regroup, Renew & Recharge ECE Retreat is a 2-day weekend gathering (October 27 & 28, 2018) for professionals who work in the field of Early Childhood Education and Child Care. It is being held in Burnaby, BC in the training rooms of Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers in collaboration with the award winning rbKids Corporate Child Care Program.
This is a very different professional development experience. And one that ensures lots of time for connection and conversation -- together. This is NOT the kind of event where we talk "at" you. We all work together to create the learning and profoundly moving experiences that happen thanks to the people who are in the room!
You will regroup, renew and recharge your thinking, your energy and your connections. This is professional development and learning at it's best.
This retreat, by ECE Workshops, will build on the exceptional success of the original Reflect & Recharge ECE Retreat that was held in October 2017 in Tsawwassen, BC. Watch the video below to learn more about what happened last year!
The Regroup, Renew & Recharge ECE Retreat will bring together educators, child care providers and related professionals who work in a variety of roles to support children and families. Each day, speakers and attendees will be part of a number of collaborative conversation and learning opportunities related to important issues in the field of Early Childhood Education. In addition, there will be an optional social event planned for the Saturday evening at a local restaurant.
This promises to be a truly incredible, valuable and memorable professional development opportunity. We hope you will join us!

Devon Glover "The Sonnet Man" is a rap artist and a teacher from Brooklyn, New York. He travels the world leading workshops for students of all ages -- from the very young to the almost very old -- all about Shakespeare through rap. Through rhyme, rap and a way with words he inspires children, young adults and educators to express themselves in new and interesting ways. As a committed and outstanding teacher he is able to make true breakthroughs with students of ages. He is especially skilled at working with children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Devon's story is an inspiration in itself. Born and raised along with two brothers by a single mom in Brooklyn, he has strived all his life to make something of himself and to give back. He went through the New York City Public School system and is a graduate of Ithaca College. He was featured on The Today Show with a tremendous response. The producer said, “I’ve never had so many emails from people saying how much they enjoyed the story and especially the song!”

This is the best workshop that I have EVER attended. It beats every other workshop and every other means of education that I have received in the last 17 years in this field. It was the most informative, inspiring and professional training one could possibly ask for. This was nothing short of brilliant!Ingrid Schaaf, Calypso Montessori School
My experience at the ECE Reflect and Recharge Retreat has forever shifted the way I think about professional growth. I am beyond grateful for Jane’s kindness and wisdom. She gives herself wholeheartedly and shares with such grace and passion. She leads by example and encourages others to find their own special passion. The format of presenter, Mastermind discussion, to setting an intent left each of us with a clear connection to what we wanted to accomplish as well as tools to help that come to fruition. I came home with a vision for my practice, tools to bring that vision to life and a new found strength to dream big. The ECE Reflect and Recharge Retreat has impacted my life and my practice in the most wonderful ways. I am forever changed and so thankful I had the chance to attend.Carrie Nahorney, ECE
