In the face of the ever growing crisis in child care in BC the NDP have launched a cross BC tour to talk about the issues.
“It’s critical that we have a quality child-care system in B.C.,” said NDP leader Carole James on Friday, as she played second-fiddle to preschoolers at the Harbourview Daycare in East Vancouver.
“We need to know what the situation is out there right now,” she said. “We want to hear directly from the people who are feeling the impacts.”The “Raising B.C.” tour starts Mar. 13 in Duncan and Nanaimo, and ends May 22 in Vancouver. An accompanying website has been launched at www.raisingbc.ca so parents can share their child-care stories online.
