Digital technologies are critical to every aspect of our economy and society. That is why a strategy for the digital economy is needed to ensure that Canada is positioned to benefit from the opportunities that it presents.
All Canadians have a role to play in helping shape Canada’s digital future. Your perspectives, suggestions, ideas and submissions will be important inputs in the creation of our digital strategy. We appreciate your interest and participation.
These are the Ground Rules of the Consultation:
- Be open-minded – Keep a collaborative, open-minded perspective.
- Participate constructively – Participate in a constructive manner; everyone is encouraged to share his or her ideas, comments and ratings.
- Respect others – Consider and respect others’ experiences, views and values.
- Suspend judgment – Leave aside status, role and stereotypes; treat other participants as equals.
- Do not make personal attacks – Express disagreement with other people’s opinions and ideas, not with the person.
- Participate regularly – Participate regularly and actively – others want to hear your views.
- Be concise – Keep your interventions succinct and to the point.
- Stay on topic – Limit your comments to the topic at hand.
