CCCABC launches new project: "Moving to a System of Integrated Early Care and Learning in BC."
We are pleased to announce that the CCCABC, in partnership with ECEBC, has received funds from VanCity Credit Union, the VanCity Community Foundation and the City of Vancouver for a new project – “Moving to a System of Integrated Early Care and Learning in BC.”
This project – one of our top priorities for 2010 – will examine the relationship between free, universal and publicly-funded full school-day kindergarten for 5 and 4 year olds and BC’s existing child care services.
Through a literature review, environmental scan and community dialogue – we will explore how BC can build a system that meets the developmental needs of children, supports working families and respects early childhood educators.
By next fall, we will be ready to share our vision of a truly Integrated System of Early Care and Learning.
