The Role
Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers recently opened
a combined philosophy (Montessori, Reggio & Traditional ECE)
corporate child care facility in conjunction with the move to their new premises
in south Burnaby August 2009. The state of the art facility and child care
team offer a child centred, nurturing environment for infants, toddlers,
preschoolers and school age children. Ritchie Bros. are currently searching for dynamic,
creative, energetic individuals to join the child care team as Montessori Educators, Early Childhood Educators and Infant-Toddler Educators.
The Program
The RBA Child Care Program is responsive
to the individual needs of the children and families that it serves. Qualified,
experienced educators ensure that the physical,
emotional and social development of each child is supported through the
provision of an environment that truly respects the needs of young children.
The RBA Child Care Program:

The Requirements
- Valid
ECE License to Practice in B.C – 1 or 5 years is preferred but will accept
applications from candidates with ECE Assistant License currently working
on their ECE and/or Montessori
Teacher Certification (3 years to Kindergarten), (MACTE accredited training
considered an asset; but is not a requirement) - Experience
of 3+ years working in a licensed group child care facility or independent
school. - Knowledge
of B.C. Child Care Regulations. - Current
Emergency First Aid and CPR certificates. - Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability
to work collaboratively in a team environment. - A
strong work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job!
This job will require you to:
- Meet
all requirements of the B.C. Child Care Licensing Regulations for Child
Care employees. - Pass
a Criminal Record Search. - Provide
at least three work related references. - Lift
up to 50 pounds on a regular basis - Be
physically active and responsive to children’s physical needs. - Be able to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm
