The Council on Early Childhood Development is a not-for-profit, non-governmental association of community and scientific networks with a focus on early child development science and community action. The Council was founded by Dr. Fraser Mustard in 2004, and is based on the recommendations of the Ontario Early Years Study) McCain & Mustard, 1999).
Joanne Schroeder is a Fellow Member with the Council on Early Childhood Development. She is also a Provincial Advisor with the British Columbia Ministry of Children & Family Development / Children First Initiative. Joanne will be visiting PEI in September and through connecting with the ECDA has indicated interest in discussing Early Childhood Development and the work of the Council with community members who have a significant interest in early childhood development during her visit.
Joanne has made herself available to discuss with us the work of the Council, what they are, what they do and how they can provide assistance to PEI in the field of early childhood development. She will also be able to share with us what is happening across the country in early childhood development and highlight the current Canadian trends in this important field. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, September 23.
