The following chart from FISA (Federation of Independent Schools) in BC demonstrates that BC has experienced a fairly steady growth of Independent School choices over the years.  Independent Schools in BC have the opportunity to receive up to 50% of the public school operating funding on an annual basis; depending upon the school classification. This level of government support encourages a wide range of school choices for children and families – in both the private and independent school systems.
