With the announcement of a new BC government cabinet today, the Hon. Mary Polak has been named as the Minister Responsible for Child Care on top of her new portfolio of the Ministry for Children and Family Development.  This is a shift from child care previously having a Minister of State for Childcare (Hon. Linda Reid) under the last BC Liberal government.
