If you live in BC and if you have or work with a child(ren) or youth with neurodiverse needs (ASD, ADHD, FASD, Developmental Delay etc) please, please make a written or video submission or consider attending one of the many public hearings that are happening in May and speaking. With SO many changes happening across so many government programs, ministries etc it is really important that the needs of children and youth with exceptionalities are fully captured. Especially children and youth with ADHD — which has not even been listed here.
The Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth invites British Columbians to participate in their special project on assessment and eligibility processes for children and youth with neurodiverse (e.g.: ASD, FASD, Developmental Delay) special needs.
British Columbians are invited to share their input, experiences and recommendations by speaking with the Committee at a public hearing or by making a written, audio or video submission. Register to reserve a speaking time at a public hearing (in-person or via teleconference) or make a written, audio or video submission through the Committee’s consultation portal. A detailed list of public hearings is available here. Teleconference opportunities are available by calling 250-356-2933 or 1-877-428-8337 (toll-free in BC).
The deadline for all input is Friday, June 7, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
